Mumbai, June 12: Popular Bhojpuri actress Rani Chatterjee took to Instagram on Friday to share a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video from her recently released film, ‘Lucknow Ki Badki Patna Ki Chhoti.’ In the video, she is seen alongside her co-star Prashant Singh, with the song “Mehri Aayi Rob Chhalai” playing in the background.
Rani captioned the video, “You all liked the film, now take a look at how it was shot. BTS scenes with Rani Chatterjee and Prashant Singh.”
Directed by Manjul Thakur, the film is produced by Sandeep Singh and Manjul Thakur. The story is penned by Arvind Tiwari and features a talented cast, including Rani Chatterjee, Sanjana Singh, Prashant Singh, Alok Singh, Reena Rani, Lalit Upadhyay, Shweta Verma, and Prem Dubey.
In the film, Rani plays a character from Uttar Pradesh, while Sanjana portrays a character from Bihar. The narrative revolves around the humorous squabbles and affectionate disputes between two daughters-in-law from different states living under one roof. It highlights the amusing competition between the sophisticated girl from Lucknow and the traditional girl from Bihar.
Rani Chatterjee plays the elder sister-in-law, while Sanjana Pandey takes on the role of the younger sister-in-law. Both actresses are well-known figures in the Bhojpuri film industry. Initially titled ‘UP Wali Bihar Wali,’ the film was renamed ‘Lucknow Ki Badki Patna Ki Chhoti’ before its release. The world television premiere took place on May 23 and 24 on the B4U Bhojpuri channel, receiving positive feedback from viewers.
