Mumbai, May 23: Actors Rajkummar Rao and his wife Patralekhaa are making headlines with their upcoming film ‘Raftaar.’ Initially set to release in July, the film’s release date has now been changed. The couple shared this news emotionally on social media, capturing the attention of their fans.
Rajkummar and Patralekhaa posted a joint message on their Instagram account. The film’s title was prominently displayed in capital letters. In their caption, they expressed that ‘Raftaar’ is not just a film for them; it represents their first significant step into the world of cinema.
They wrote, “Dreams take time to materialize, but living those dreams requires even more effort. ‘Raftaar’ is no less than a dream for us. It is the result of our faith, struggle, and hard work. When something is so special and close to your heart, it is essential to give it the time it needs to be prepared correctly. That is why we decided to push back the film’s release date.”
Rajkummar and Patralekhaa emphasized that when audiences watch ‘Raftaar,’ they will see the hard work and struggles of everyone chasing their dreams. The film will showcase emotions like ambition, fear, hope, and the determination to move forward in life.
In their post, they also thanked their fans, stating, “The love and support from our audience is our greatest strength. ‘Raftaar’ features Rajkummar Rao alongside Keerthy Suresh, Anurag Thakur, Rohan Verma, Tanya Manik Tala, and Rajat Kapoor in significant roles. The film is produced by Patralekhaa under her banner, Kompa Films.
The new release date for ‘Raftaar’ is now set for October 16, 2026, coinciding with the Dussehra weekend.
