Rajbhar Critiques Akhilesh Over Cabinet Expansion Delays in Uttar Pradesh

Ballia, May 15: In Uttar Pradesh, the cabinet expansion has become a topic of contention. Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav recently criticized the Yogi government, suggesting that the distribution of ministerial departments was being dictated from above. In response, UP Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar targeted Yadav on Friday.

Rajbhar stated, “Akhilesh was Chief Minister for five years; where did his papers come from? Just as Shivpal Yadav used to hand over papers to the DGP for police recruitment, Akhilesh also had his own methods for contracts. If there is a delay in the cabinet expansion, what is his concern? He should clarify his grievances.”

Previously, Yadav had posted on social media platform ‘X’, questioning if the names of ministers would also be decided through ‘papers’ from above. He claimed that the real reason for the delay in distributing ministries was due to conflicts over commission earnings between the ‘double engine’ government. Newly appointed ministers, he remarked, are left as mere spectators, watching the ball being tossed around.

On the rising prices of petrol and diesel, Rajbhar commented, “The entire country is now caught in the grip of war. The conflict between Iran and the U.S. is affecting neighboring countries. We import oil and CNG from Iran, and the war has halted transportation, leading to price hikes.”

He added, “PM Modi consistently strives for peace. He travels worldwide to promote harmony, encouraging nations to engage in trade without conflict.”

Rajbhar also addressed the allegations made by TMC regarding BJP’s manipulation during the West Bengal elections. He stated, “Such accusations arise only after losing elections. When TMC won the last election, there were no allegations. They are baseless and lack substance. The courts are open for everyone; if Mamata Banerjee wishes to approach the High Court or Supreme Court, the doors are open.”
