Patna, July 28: On the final day of campaigning for the Bankipur Assembly by-election, Chirag Paswan, the National President of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and Union Minister, voiced his support for NDA candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha. During a media interaction, he launched a sharp attack on Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, questioning why the public should trust a leader who fails to fulfill his responsibilities in the Assembly.
Paswan stated that the public has entrusted Tejashwi Yadav with a significant role as Leader of the Opposition, yet his most crucial duties lie within the Assembly itself. He raised concerns about Yadav’s frequent absences during Assembly sessions, noting that the recent session was largely unproductive due to his lack of attendance. Paswan emphasized that when a leader neglects their constitutional duties, public trust inevitably wanes, which he believes has contributed to the current state of Yadav’s party.
The Union Minister confidently asserted that the NDA will secure victory in the Bankipur by-election. He remarked that as the election progresses, it is becoming increasingly clear that BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha, backed by all NDA coalition partners, will win by a substantial margin.
“There is no doubt about it,” he stated. “The feedback from party workers, leaders, and those campaigning at the grassroots level indicates that the NDA candidate’s victory is guaranteed. The only question remaining is how large the margin will be.”
In response to Tejashwi Yadav’s electoral claims, Paswan quipped that it seems Yadav has begun dreaming even during the day. He suggested that Yadav should first evaluate his party’s performance and political presence.
Paswan concluded by expressing confidence that the people of Bankipur will vote in favor of development, good governance, and NDA policies, ensuring that the BJP candidate is once again sent to the Assembly with a significant majority.
