New Delhi, July 28: Bihar government minister Ramkripal Yadav raised concerns on Tuesday regarding RJD leader and opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav’s prolonged absence from state politics. He stated that Tejashwi’s recent appearance in the Bankipur election campaign would have little impact.
Discussing Tejashwi’s scheduled roadshow, Ramkripal Yadav remarked, “I just learned about it yesterday. I heard he was abroad, in Norway or somewhere else. Now he has returned after resting. However, he should have been working here. Even if he was absent, his party workers and other leaders should have been active.”
BJP state president Sanjay Sarawagi also targeted the RJD leader, accusing Tejashwi of being a ‘part-time politician’ and questioning his commitment to Bihar.
Sarawagi stated, “Does Tejashwi Yadav care about Bihar? He has become a ‘part-time politician.’ He comes here once a month to talk about movements and Bihar. A crucial session was held, and he wasn’t there for even a day. He remains consistently absent. Does he care about Bihar or its students and youth? Then he comes, speaks for four days, it gets media coverage, and then he disappears. This is why no one takes him seriously anymore.”
Meanwhile, JDU’s chief spokesperson Neeraj Kumar commented, “Tejashwi Yadav is himself a migrant Bihari.”
These remarks came as campaigning intensified for the Bankipur by-election, with Tejashwi Yadav holding another roadshow in Patna on Monday.
Campaigning will conclude on Tuesday evening for the by-election scheduled for July 30, with votes being counted on August 3.
