Sanwaliyaji Temple

It is reported that DGP Rajeev Sharma arrived at Shri Sanwaliyaji Temple late Sunday night, travelling from Jaipur through Chittorgarh. Upon entering Chittorgarh district, he was received by Superintendent of Police Manish Tripathi. Around 10:30 pm, the DGP reached the temple, where he attended darshan before the Shayan Aarti. The Osra priest presented him with charanamrit and prasad as part of the rituals, and he was welcomed with a traditional upper cloth. He stayed in the temple for about three to four minutes, offered prayers, and wished for peace in the state. The temple administration also honoured him with prasad and a photograph of Lord Sanwaliya Seth. Other police officers were present during the visit. Given the DGP’s presence, both temple and police administrations remained on alert.

Review of Arrangements for Devotees

DGP Rajeev Sharma spent about 10 minutes in the temple premises. He was taken through the garden to the main temple for darshan. After offering prayers, he inquired about the arrangements made for devotees. Administrative officer Shiv Shankar Pareek briefed him on the facilities available for pilgrims. The DGP appeared satisfied with the arrangements but noted that the queue for darshan had been stopped during his visit. He remarked that devotees should not have been stopped and that security could have temporarily paused the line only at the time of his exit for better management.
