Jaipur, February 14: Gaurav Vallabh, a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has targeted Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP. He stated that Gandhi should not be taken seriously, as he has begun making anti-national comments while personally opposing Prime Minister Modi.
Vallabh emphasized that Rahul Gandhi frequently makes baseless remarks about the country and its institutions. He claimed that anyone who can refer to the world’s fastest-growing economy as a “dead economy” lacks credibility. The BJP leader accused Gandhi’s personal opposition to Prime Minister Modi of reaching a level where he now makes comments against the nation.
He referenced “Operation Sindoor,” noting that there was a sense of enthusiasm across the country during that time, and Pakistan was under pressure within hours. Vallabh described it as unfortunate that Rahul Gandhi questioned how many aircraft Pakistan had shot down during this period. He further alleged that Gandhi raises questions about India’s democracy abroad and attempts to tarnish the image of constitutional institutions.
Vallabh asserted that merely holding Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s book does not equate to respecting the Constitution. True respect comes from understanding and adhering to its core principles. He remarked that labeling the Election Commission, a constitutional body, as “compromised” contradicts the spirit of the Constitution, which clearly outlines the role of such institutions. Questioning them, he stated, weakens the democratic framework.
The BJP leader reiterated the party’s commitment to strengthening the media, the fourth pillar of democracy. He made it clear that any comments against the media would not be tolerated, and the dignity of democratic institutions would be upheld.
