Mumbai, August 23: Actress Raashi Khanna, who was recently seen in a special role in the film ‘120 Baahadur’, has completed 13 years in the Indian film industry. She expressed that since her career began with ‘Madras Cafe’, time has flown by, as she has always viewed her work as a privilege.
Released in 2013, ‘Madras Cafe’ opened doors for Raashi to work across four different film industries. Since then, she has become a part of many notable films and projects in the country.
Reflecting on her journey, Raashi stated, “Thirteen years is a long time, but it has passed quickly because working has never ceased to feel like a privilege. Remembering ‘Madras Cafe’ reminds me of why I started. This film gave me the opportunity to tell stories that matter to me, and I am grateful to all the collaborators who have supported me along the way.”
Since her debut, Raashi has established a strong identity in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema. She is among the few artists of her generation who have maintained a presence in all four film industries. This diversity is not coincidental; it results from her well-thought-out decisions that have propelled her from an emerging actress to a pan-India star.
Currently, the actress is shooting for the second season of the popular web series ‘Farzi’ by Raj and DK, where she will reprise her role as RBI officer Megha Vyas. The series also features Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi. This crime thriller tells the story of an artist who turns to counterfeiting to escape financial troubles.
Raashi Khanna will soon be seen alongside superstar Rajinikanth in the Tamil action thriller ‘Dharma’. Additionally, she will appear with actor Akshay Kumar in director Anees Bazmee’s upcoming comedy-drama film.
