Mumbai, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : Punjabi actress Himanshi Khurana recently revealed on a podcast that she faced emotional pressure to convert her religion. In response, her former partner and Bigg Boss 13 contestant Arhaan Khan came to the defense of Asim Riaz, another contestant from the show.
During an interview, Arhaan expressed disbelief that Asim could engage in such behavior. He stated, “I don’t know who tried to change whose religion, as I haven’t discussed this with either Asim or Himanshi. We should steer clear of such matters and refrain from discussing them since we don’t know the truth. Himanshi mentioned something in a different context on the podcast, which she later clarified.”
Arhaan further emphasized his trust in Asim’s character, saying, “If you told me Asim slapped someone, I would believe it. If you said he cursed someone, I would accept it. But if you claim that Asim influenced someone to convert their religion, that’s hard to believe because I know him, and he is not that narrow-minded.”
He urged for the matter to be put to rest, stating, “Please don’t sensationalize this issue. Whoever is involved, please end this discussion.”
Himanshi Khurana had appeared on Paras Chhabra’s podcast, where she spoke candidly about her past relationship without naming Asim. She shared how differences regarding religion affected their relationship and alleged that her partner had pressured her to understand and adopt his faith. She expressed her reluctance, feeling that doing so would betray her own beliefs.
Himanshi also reflected on her fears about converting, wondering if she would face severe consequences like being ‘cremated’ or buried.
