
Los Angeles, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : Actor Anupam Kher is currently on an international tour, showcasing his acclaimed play “Jaane Pehchaane Ajnabi.” On Wednesday, he shared details about his meeting with Dr. K.J. Srinivasan, the Indian Consul General in Los Angeles. Kher expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended to him during the visit.
In a post on Instagram, Kher shared photos with Dr. Srinivasan, stating, “India in LA. Visiting the Indian Consulate in Los Angeles with the entire cast and crew of ‘Jaane Pehchaane Ajnabi’ was a delightful experience.” He described the moment of seeing the Indian flag and interacting with the consulate staff as a proud occasion.
Kher thanked Dr. Srinivasan and his team for their exceptional hospitality and delicious lunch, saying, “We felt at home, even so far away. Jai Hind.”
The actor is touring the United States and Canada to perform his multilingual play, which features Hindi, Punjabi, and English. The tour began in Houston and will continue to Los Angeles, Vancouver, and other cities.
In addition to his theater work, Kher has several films in the pipeline, including “Yeh Prem Mol Liya,” “Shri Ram Janmabhoomi,” and “Khosla Ka Ghosla 2.” In “Yeh Prem Mol Liya,” he stars alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari Wagh, while “Shri Ram Janmabhoomi” depicts the emotional and historical journey of the Ram temple’s construction in Ayodhya, with Kher playing the role of Ashok Singhal, a late leader of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. “Khosla Ka Ghosla 2” is the sequel to the 2006 cult classic, with filming completed primarily in Delhi and surrounding areas.
