Mohit Malhotra Reflects on the Meaning of Ganesh Chaturthi

Mumbai, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : Mumbai actor Mohit Malhotra, known for his roles in popular shows like “Bade Achhe Lagte Hain,” “Sasural Genda Phool,” and “Jamai Raja,” recently shared his insights on the significance of Ganesh Chaturthi in his life. He views Lord Ganesha as a symbol of new beginnings and positivity.

Discussing his personal connection with Ganesh, Mohit said, “For me, Bappa has always represented faith, positivity, and the ability to start afresh. There’s something comforting about clearing the mind before embarking on something new, trusting that the path will unfold on its own. I also associate Bappa with staying grounded.”

He further elaborated on the festival’s essence, stating, “No matter how much life changes, certain things reconnect you with yourself. For me, that feeling comes during Ganesh Chaturthi. It brings people together, generates positive energy, and compels you to pause and feel gratitude.”

Mohit emphasized that he does not follow elaborate rituals for Ganesh Puja. “For me, the festival is about spending quality time with Bappa, praying, and starting the festivities with a positive mindset. Sometimes, we get caught up in making everything perfect,” he explained.

He added, “What matters most is taking a moment to express gratitude to Bappa and asking for the strength to move forward. This has become my little tradition over the years. Honestly, I love the entire atmosphere. While it’s impossible to resist modaks, what I cherish most is the energy surrounding the festival. There’s warmth, music, and a sense of celebration as people come together. The immersion is emotional, knowing that the festivities are temporary, but the feelings linger on.”

In conclusion, Mohit highlighted that this is what makes Ganesh Chaturthi so beautiful.
