Punjab and Haryana High Court Announces Recruitment for 167 Positions

Chandigarh, June 29: A significant opportunity has emerged for those seeking employment in the High Court. The Punjab and Haryana High Court in Chandigarh has officially announced vacancies for 167 positions, including cleaning staff.

Among the 167 vacancies, there are 75 posts for cleaning staff (sweepers) and 92 for gardeners. The online application process commenced on June 9, and the deadline for submissions is June 30. Eligible candidates interested in these positions can register on the official Punjab and Haryana High Court portal before or by the final date.

Applicants must possess knowledge of Hindi and the regional language. Candidates applying for the cleaning staff position should ideally hold a diploma in gardening from a recognized institution and/or have three years of experience as a gardener. Similarly, candidates with a minimum of three years of experience as cleaning staff (sweepers) will be given preference.

The minimum age for applicants is set at 18 years, while the maximum age is capped at 35 years, calculated based on the application deadline. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.

Selection of qualified candidates will be based on interviews, shortlisting, and document verification. The salaries for selected candidates will adhere to the pay scale rules of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Details regarding the interview date, time, and venue will be announced soon.

While filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online. For general and SC/ST/BC candidates from regions outside Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh, the fee is set at ₹700. For SC/ST/BC candidates and ex-servicemen from Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh, the fee is ₹600. Additionally, candidates with disabilities (PWD) are exempt from the registration fee.
