Ghaziabad, September 12 (Daily Kiran) : The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is set to offer brands a significant opportunity for visibility along the Delhi-Meerut Namoh Bharat Corridor. The organization has initiated the process to grant licensing rights for advertising on the piers and portal structures between Sahibabad and Modipuram. Interested agencies and bidders are invited to submit their proposals through e-tendering.
According to NCRTC, the advertising spaces available along the more than 50-kilometer stretch are strategically important for branding. This corridor traverses densely populated residential areas, major markets, commercial establishments, and various institutions between Ghaziabad and Meerut. Additionally, the elevated corridor runs parallel to major highways and main roads, where a high volume of traffic flows throughout the day.
Currently, approximately 110,000 passengers travel along the Delhi-Meerut Namoh Bharat Corridor each day, with total commuter journeys surpassing 45 million. Given the increasing passenger numbers, NCRTC believes that advertising on the piers and portal can serve as a powerful medium for brands to reach a wide audience. These piers are strategically located in the median of the roads, ensuring visibility not only to passengers but also to drivers and pedestrians, enhancing the potential for broad exposure of advertising campaigns.
NCRTC aims to create an outdoor advertising ecosystem that not only enhances the visual appeal of the corridor but also increases non-fare revenue. The area between Sahibabad and Modipuram is characterized by a significant presence of industrial zones, educational institutions, residential neighborhoods, and commercial activities. Consequently, the advertising spaces being developed on the piers and portal could become vital marketing platforms for both local and national brands. Various businesses, including schools, hospitals, real estate firms, restaurants, and food chains, can utilize these locations to promote their services and enhance brand recognition.
The selected licensee under the bidding process will be responsible for designing, fabricating, installing, operating, and maintaining the advertising infrastructure according to specified standards. It is mandatory to adhere to established technical and safety criteria during the construction and operation of the advertising structures. The total length of the Delhi-Meerut Namoh Bharat Corridor is 82 kilometers, stretching from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Modipuram in Meerut. This corridor has strengthened fast, convenient, and modern regional transport between Delhi-NCR and Meerut.
Local metro services are also operational on the Namoh Bharat infrastructure between Meerut South and Modipuram. This serves as a pioneering example in the country where a single infrastructure supports both regional and local public transport services. Furthermore, the corridor has been integrated with other public transport modes wherever feasible.
NCRTC has noted that the growing passenger numbers and the corridor’s strengthening role in the region have increased the commercial viability of the available advertising spaces. Interested bidders can participate in the tendering process through e-tendering.
