New Delhi, August 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in a meeting at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters on Saturday, chaired by the party’s national president, Nitin Naveen. Sources have confirmed this information.
According to insiders, Prime Minister Modi is set to address the newly appointed officials during the ongoing meeting at the BJP headquarters around 7 PM on Saturday.
A key agenda for the meeting will be to outline the events planned nationwide to commemorate Prime Minister Modi’s 25 years in public life. Modi first took the oath as Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, and has remained in public office since then. Before becoming Prime Minister in 2014, he served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for nearly 13 years. He has held the Prime Ministerial position for over 12 years.
Earlier on Saturday, BJP President Nitin Naveen initiated the meeting of the new officials. The session began with the singing of the national song “Vande Mataram.” During this meeting, the BJP also passed a significant resolution regarding the respect and preservation of “Vande Mataram” and its historical legacy.
The party condemned the Congress Working Committee’s decision on August 19 to limit the singing of “Vande Mataram” to only the first two verses, reaffirming a proposal from 1937. The BJP expressed its strong opposition to this decision.
Nitin Naveen stated in a post on ‘X’, “The BJP regards ‘Vande Mataram’ as India’s national song, an expression of reverence for Mother India, a mantra of the freedom struggle, and an eternal symbol of India’s national consciousness.”
