Mumbai, June 3: Actress Preity Zinta is set to make her much-anticipated return to the big screen. On Wednesday, she shared her excitement about a new project via social media, expressing her eagerness to reveal more details soon.
Zinta posted a picture on the social media platform X, captioning it, “Taking a little break before the start of my new project. I am extremely excited to share this with all of you. More details coming soon.”
The actress will soon return to theaters with films like ‘Vibe’ and ‘Lahore 1947’. ‘Vibe’ is an action-comedy featuring Zinta alongside Kunal Kemmu. The film tells the story of two true friends—one is straightforward and rule-abiding, while the other is carefree. Their ordinary lives turn chaotic when they inadvertently get caught up in a terrorist plot, putting the nation’s security in their hands.
Kunal Kemmu wrote and directed the film, which is produced by Kemmu and Chirag Nihalani under the banner of Drongo Films. This marks Zinta’s remarkable comeback to the big screen after her 2018 film ‘Bhaiyyaji Superhit’.
In addition to Zinta and Kemmu, the film also stars Sparsh Srivastav and Vanshika Dheer. This highly anticipated action-comedy drama is set to hit theaters on September 18, followed by streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Moreover, Zinta will also appear in ‘Lahore 1947’ alongside Sunny Deol. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, this project features Deol in a leading role, with Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, Abhimanyu Singh, and others in key roles. Produced under Aamir Khan’s banner, ‘Lahore 1947’ is based on historical events surrounding the partition of India.
