Political Dynamics Shift Ahead of India Alliance Meeting, Says Sanjay Raut

Mumbai, June 5: Sanjay Raut, a leader of the Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction), shared insights with reporters regarding the upcoming activities of the India Alliance and the political landscape in Tamil Nadu.

He announced that a crucial meeting of the India Alliance is scheduled for June 8 in New Delhi. Senior Congress leader and organization general secretary K.C. Venugopal has already spoken with Uddhav Thackeray about this meeting. The conversation was positive, and discussions on future strategies are underway. Raut emphasized that significant political and organizational work is currently ongoing in Maharashtra, which requires attention.

Commenting on Tamil Nadu’s politics, Raut noted that recent election results have led to changes in political equations. He claimed that Congress has entered a political partnership with the TVK, resulting in TVK severing ties with the India Block. According to him, this development has impacted the unity of the opposition alliance.

Regarding the DMK, Raut stated that the current circumstances in Tamil Nadu necessitate the party to maintain restraint and balance. He also mentioned that Congress did not have a significant political alternative at that time, although he lacks complete information about the current situation.

Raut suggested that the India Alliance may gain a new political ally in the form of TVK in Tamil Nadu. However, he clarified that he does not have confirmation of any clear rift within the DMK, and many aspects remain uncertain.
