Patna, September 12 (Daily Kiran) : A joint operation by Patna police and the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) has led to the dismantling of an alleged prostitution racket at a guest house in the Ghurdaur area of Rajiv Nagar. On September 12, authorities reported that four women and one man were taken into custody during the raid.
The police acted on a tip-off that prompted them to storm the Ganpati Guest House. During the operation, officers discovered condoms and other incriminating materials believed to be linked to the illegal activities taking place there.
For the past six months, the guest house had been the subject of complaints regarding suspicious activities. Following these reports, the Patna police and SIU had been monitoring the establishment for nearly two months to gather intelligence on its operations.
Upon receiving information that several men and women were present in the guest house, police surrounded the building and initiated a search operation. The raid spanned from the ground floor to the fourth floor, resulting in the detention of the four women and one man.
However, the guest house owner, along with some staff members and other individuals, managed to escape through a back exit during the police action. The seized materials have been confiscated and sealed as part of the ongoing investigation.
The detainees were taken to the Rajiv Nagar police station, where they are being interrogated by female officers. A police spokesperson indicated that the goal of the questioning is to uncover connections to other individuals involved in the alleged network and to determine how long these activities had been occurring at the guest house.
Authorities have identified the fugitive owner and staff members, and raids are underway at potential hideouts to apprehend them. The investigation continues, with further revelations expected as inquiries progress.
