Gothenburg, May 17: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Gothenburg, Sweden, on Sunday, where he was warmly welcomed by the Indian community, showcasing vibrant Bengali culture. The atmosphere was filled with joy, not only for the Prime Minister but also for the attendees.

In a post on X, PM Modi expressed his delight, stating, “Bengali culture is celebrated worldwide, and Sweden is no exception. The welcome ceremony organized by the Indian community, attended by Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, highlighted the glorious Bengali culture.”

Members of the Indian community shared their excitement about meeting the Prime Minister. One attendee mentioned that seeing him in person was a thrilling experience, akin to achieving a significant milestone.

A woman remarked that the Prime Minister paid close attention to their cultural presentation. When he asked, “Bhalo achhe?” it filled her with joy. Another woman expressed her pride in having PM Modi visit from India, noting the warm reception he received. She was thrilled to have met him and shook his hand.

A student highlighted that PM Modi’s visit opens numerous opportunities for students like him seeking a future in Sweden. Another community member shared her overwhelming pride, stating that meeting PM Modi on foreign soil was beyond her dreams, bringing tears to her eyes.
