New Delhi, March 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the fourth session of the post-budget webinar series on Monday. The theme of the webinar was “Together for Everyone’s Development – Fulfilling Public Aspirations.” The Prime Minister stated that the main objective of this year’s budget is to meet the aspirations of the citizens, and the government is working in that direction.
During the webinar, he highlighted that sectors such as education, skill development, health, tourism, sports, and culture are crucial for the country’s overall development. He urged experts and policymakers to provide suggestions for effectively implementing the announcements made in the budget.
PM Modi remarked, “Fulfilling the aspirations of the people is not just a topic; it is the core objective of this budget and the commitment of this government.”
He emphasized the need for preventive and holistic health, mentioning the rapid strengthening of health infrastructure and the global popularity of yoga and Ayurveda. The Prime Minister noted that medical colleges have been opened in hundreds of districts, and access to health services has expanded through the Ayushman Bharat scheme and wellness centers.
PM Modi specifically pointed out the emerging ‘care economy’ and the growing demand for caregivers globally. He urged experts to develop new training models to empower the youth. He said, “I encourage health sector experts present in this webinar to suggest new training models and partnerships to strengthen the training system in the country.”
Discussing the increasing role of telemedicine in digital health, PM Modi stated that it has made healthcare accessible to remote areas. However, he stressed the need to raise awareness about it and simplify its usage. He stated, “I believe there is a need to increase awareness about telemedicine and make its use simpler.”
The Prime Minister praised the evolving mindset of India’s youth, calling it the country’s greatest strength, and emphasized the need to align the education system accordingly. He highlighted that continuous efforts are being made to connect education with employment and entrepreneurship.

He stated, “We need to create a research ecosystem where young researchers have ample opportunities to experiment with new ideas.”
On the topic of sports, the Prime Minister mentioned that a healthy and disciplined youth population is the backbone of national strength. He highlighted the impact of the ‘Khelo India’ initiative and emphasized the need to identify talents from smaller towns and regions, professionalize sports bodies, and provide organized financial support to athletes preparing for upcoming competitions like the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics.
PM Modi stated, “In this situation, we must identify young athletes today and train them; only then will India’s reputation grow in international competitions.”
The Prime Minister shed light on the immense potential for job creation in tourism and culture, stating that developing new tourist destinations beyond traditional sites promotes a city’s branding and overall development. He said, “We are now focusing on redeveloping tourist sites across the country.”
He emphasized that trained guides, hospitality skills, digital connectivity, and community participation are becoming pillars of the tourism sector. Alongside these, cleanliness and sustainable development practices are also essential. He stated, “We are working together to strengthen India’s position as a global tourist destination, and your suggestions on tourism and related sectors are extremely important.”
In closing his address, the Prime Minister underscored the importance of coordination among institutions, industries, and the education sector to accelerate national progress. He expressed confidence that these discussions would provide a solid framework for the future and strengthen the foundation for a developed India.
