Dehradun, April 6: The BJP held a grand celebration for its 47th Foundation Day at its headquarters in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. A large number of party workers participated in the event.
Uttarakhand BJP President Mahendra Bhatt stated that the occasion was marked by enthusiasm and dignity. Thousands of workers attended events across all district offices. Each member was encouraged to display the lotus flag at their homes and to spread the party’s policies at the grassroots level.
He emphasized that the BJP is an ideological party that has consistently operated based on its principles and methods. After 47 years, it has become the world’s largest political party, boasting the highest membership. Uttarakhand also has the most members within the party. On this occasion, workers were urged to dedicate themselves to ensuring the party’s success in the upcoming assembly elections.
Bhatt mentioned that while elections are not imminent, organizational programs are firmly in place. Many chief ministers, along with the Home Minister and Prime Minister, have visited in the past, and the party is always prepared to welcome them. A significant number of people from the state and country come to listen to them.
He assured that there are no issues with LPG supply in Uttarakhand. The Char Dham Yatra will be well-organized, providing all necessary facilities to travelers. This year’s pilgrimage is expected to last longer than last year, attracting a larger number of participants.
Bhatt also highlighted positive outcomes in mining within the state. Uttarakhand has achieved the highest revenue in the country from this sector. The Chief Minister has implemented a new policy to improve mining operations, addressing previous irregularities and complaints. The government’s efforts have led to better management and increased revenue in the mining sector.
BJP leader Neha Joshi remarked that the journey of the BJP over 47 years has transformed it from a modest organization to one of the world’s largest political entities. Today, approximately 180 million workers are connected across the country, with a significant number being active members. Currently, the BJP governs in nearly 20 states, reflecting its extensive organizational journey.
She noted the excitement surrounding Prime Minister Modi’s upcoming visit to Uttarakhand, where the inauguration of an expressway is anticipated, along with several other development initiatives. The Prime Minister’s ongoing confidence and guidance have consistently benefited the state’s residents. This will undoubtedly be a significant event, with a grand welcome planned for the Prime Minister.
BJP leader Deepti Rawat stated that the party’s journey, starting from the Janata Party phase to its current status, is historic. Founded in 1980 with just two MPs, it has now established itself as the largest political party not only in India but also globally. This achievement is solely due to the dedication of its workers, their loyalty, and the ideology inspired by patriotism. The BJP’s work is not merely for power but aims at nation-building.
