Pankaj Chaudhary Responds to Rahul Gandhis Statement, Calls It an Insult to the Mandate

Lucknow, May 24: Pankaj Chaudhary, the Uttar Pradesh BJP President and Minister of State for Finance, has sharply criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent statement predicting the fall of the NDA government within a year.

Chaudhary described Gandhi’s remarks as a direct insult to the democratic framework and the public mandate. He emphasized that questioning democratic institutions and the will of the people has been a hallmark of Congress’s political culture. According to Chaudhary, whenever the public has rejected Congress, the party leadership has opted to undermine democratic systems instead of engaging in self-reflection.

He accused Gandhi of attempting to create an atmosphere of fear, confusion, and instability to gain power. Chaudhary asserted that the public has given a clear and strong mandate to the National Democratic Alliance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. This mandate supports the vision of a developed and self-reliant India, positioning the country for global leadership.

Chaudhary pointed out that Congress and its allies have consistently failed to compete with the BJP democratically, leading them to resort to negative politics aimed at eroding public trust. He lamented the unfortunate trend of Congress leaders criticizing India on foreign platforms, expressing distrust in constitutional institutions, and questioning every achievement.

He reiterated that India’s democracy is robust, with governments formed and sustained by the people’s blessings, not by anyone’s whims or conspiracies. Under Modi’s leadership, the central government is dedicated to the welfare of the poor, empowering youth, enhancing women’s participation, uplifting farmers, and establishing India as a global power.

Chaudhary urged the opposition to respect the sanctity of democracy and demonstrate political maturity by accepting the public mandate. He concluded that the people of India stand firmly with development and national interest, ensuring that progress will not halt until the vision of a developed India is realized.
