In Sanatan Dharma, it is essential to check the Muhurat before starting any auspicious or new work. People consider the significance of Tithi and its auspicious or inauspicious effects before initiating any new activities. Currently, the month of Purushottam, which is dear to Narayan, is ongoing. On May 29, 2026 (Friday), the Tithi of Trayodashi in the Shukla Paksha of Jyeshtha month will be observed.
The Trayodashi Tithi will last until 9:50 AM on May 29. After that, the Chaturdashi Tithi will begin. However, according to Udayatithi (the Tithi at sunrise), Trayodashi will be valid throughout the day. On this day, the Swati Nakshatra will remain until 10:38 AM, and the Moon will transit through Libra all day. Sunrise will occur at 5:24 AM, and sunset will be at 7:13 PM. The day will also witness Parigh Yoga.
Regarding the auspicious times on May 29, the Abhijit Muhurat will be from 11:57 AM to 12:50 PM. Amrit Kaal will occur late Friday night from 3:32 AM to 5:19 AM on May 30, and Brahma Muhurat will be from 4:08 AM to 4:56 AM. These times are considered ideal for worship, meditation, and other auspicious activities.
Conversely, the inauspicious times on Friday include Rahukaal from 10:35 AM to 12:19 PM, during which any auspicious work, travel, or important decisions are discouraged. Other inauspicious periods include Yamgand from 3:43 PM to 5:23 PM and Gulika Kaal from 7:25 AM to 9:04 AM.
Additionally, the Durmuhurt will be from 8:24 AM to 9:18 AM and from 12:50 PM to 1:44 PM. The Varjya period will occur from 4:51 PM to 6:38 PM.
