Opposition Parties Deliberately Disrupting Parliamentary Proceedings: Praveen Khandelwal

New Delhi, August 6: BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal addressed several issues on Thursday. In an interview, he claimed that the disruption of parliamentary proceedings is a calculated conspiracy by Congress and other opposition parties.

Khandelwal stated that these parties are attempting to create challenges both outside and inside Parliament, hindering discussions on crucial matters. He emphasized that their actions clearly indicate a lack of interest in facilitating smooth discussions. He noted that if Parliament were to engage in orderly discussions, the opposition’s shortcomings would be exposed.

He remarked that those obstructing parliamentary proceedings are being closely observed by the nation. In the coming days, these individuals will receive an appropriate response. Khandelwal also commented on Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, accusing him of shedding “crocodile tears.” He mentioned that the Prime Minister has taken cognizance of student-related issues and that laws have been enacted in Parliament regarding them. Thus, he questioned the need for further uproar on the matter.

Khandelwal criticized Congress leaders as being unemployed and lacking productive work, stating that the public consistently rejects them in elections. He believes this is why they raise unnecessary issues to disrupt parliamentary proceedings.

He also responded regarding Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, asserting that Rijiju, as the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, will make decisions in consultation with other ministers. He indicated that any upcoming special sessions or actions will be determined based on future circumstances.

Khandelwal reminded that Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party have historically collaborated in elections, which they term a “coalition.” He argued that when faced with adverse situations, these parties unite, a practice he believes is unacceptable in healthy politics.

On the FCRA bill, Khandelwal stressed its necessity to understand the purposes for which foreign funds are utilized. He questioned why opposition parties oppose the bill, suggesting it may be due to concerns about foreign funding accountability. He concluded that the opposition’s resistance to the FCRA is entirely unfounded.
