Opposition Blames Government for Rising Inflation Amidst Ongoing Parliamentary Session

New Delhi, April 1: During the current session of Parliament, the Samajwadi Party and other opposition parties have raised concerns regarding caste-based census, escalating inflation, and government policies.

Samajwadi Party MP Anand Bhadauria reiterated the demand for a caste census, stating that it should be conducted alongside the general census. He suggested that an additional column could have been easily added during the recent SIR survey, which would help in better understanding issues related to social justice.

Bhadauria also questioned the central government’s foreign and security policies. He claimed that the BJP-led government lacks a solid roadmap to address the consequences of war-like situations. He noted that only formal and repetitive statements have emerged from Parliament and all-party meetings, failing to address serious concerns.

On the inflation issue, the opposition targeted the government. In response to the recent hike in commercial LPG cylinder prices, Anand Bhadauria stated that the government has failed to tackle global challenges, directly impacting the common people.

He accused the government of throwing the country into the flames of inflation due to continuous price increases, asserting that there is no concrete plan to address this crisis.

Additionally, Samajwadi Party MP Avadhesh Prasad criticized the government regarding the economy and foreign policy. He claimed that the country’s economic situation is deteriorating, which is manifesting as rising inflation.

Congress MP Ujjwal Raman Singh also expressed concerns about potential future increases in petrol and LPG prices. He stated that the government is currently making decisions with an eye on upcoming elections, but the burden of inflation on the common people may increase post-elections. He demanded that the government clarify its economic strategy.
