Online Gas Booking Launched in Uttarkashi, Providing Major Relief to Consumers

Uttarkashi, April 4: In a significant move to enhance transparency and consumer welfare in Uttarkashi, the District Magistrate Prashant Arya held a crucial meeting with gas agency representatives on Saturday. The meeting aimed to implement mandatory online gas booking in the district. This initiative ensures that gas distribution will only occur through home delivery, eliminating the need for consumers to stand in long queues outside agencies and ensuring timely service.

The District Magistrate made it clear that any irregularities, black marketing, illegal storage, or commercial use of domestic cylinders will not be tolerated. He warned that strict legal action would be taken against any agency or individual found engaging in such activities. The administration will continuously monitor the entire system and take stringent measures against offenders.

During the meeting, the District Magistrate instructed all gas agencies to ensure complete transparency in the gas distribution process and guarantee 100% home delivery. He also emphasized that for remote areas facing network issues that hinder online booking, agencies should develop alternative arrangements to prevent any inconvenience to consumers.

Prashant Arya stated that the administration’s primary goal is to provide consumers with a simple, safe, and transparent service, and any negligence or laxity will not be tolerated. Managers from Indian Gas, Bharat Gas, and HP Gas were present at the meeting and were instructed to ensure strict adherence to the guidelines.
