Delhi Government Honors Rohit Mukhiya for Heroic Rescue During Malviya Nagar Fire

New Delhi, June 19: The Delhi government has recognized Rohit Mukhiya for his bravery during a devastating fire in Malviya Nagar, where he saved numerous lives. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced an immediate financial aid of ₹5 lakh for Mukhiya’s family and assured that the government would cover all medical expenses until his full recovery.

In a post on the official CMO Delhi ‘X’ handle, it was stated, “During the tragic fire incident in Malviya Nagar, Rohit Mukhiya displayed extraordinary courage and humanity by saving many lives. He has set an inspiring example of duty and compassion.”

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta praised Mukhiya’s courage in a letter, stating, “The bravery, dedication, and human compassion you exhibited in adverse circumstances are truly inspiring. You maintained your composure in a crisis and fulfilled your responsibilities. Your courage will serve as a source of inspiration for many.”

In her letter, the Chief Minister further mentioned that the Delhi government has decided to provide an immediate ex gratia payment of ₹5 lakh for his treatment and family support. She instructed relevant officials to ensure that there are no shortcomings in Mukhiya’s medical care and that he receives the best possible treatment.

CM Rekha Gupta expressed confidence, saying, “I am sure that with your courage, the efforts of the doctors, and the love of your family, you will soon return to your loved ones in good health. The Delhi government stands firmly with you during this challenging time.”

Rohit Mukhiya risked his life without hesitation to save others during the Malviya Nagar fire. His bravery is being widely commended.
