New Delhi, June 19: The countdown for the NEET UG 2026 exam, scheduled for June 21, has begun. The National Testing Agency (NTA) shared crucial information regarding the exam on Friday.
NTA announced on the social media platform ‘X’, stating, “It is clarified that those who have already downloaded their admit cards for the NEET UG exam on June 21 do not need to do so again. SMS, email, and WhatsApp messages are primarily for students who have not yet downloaded their new admit cards.”
The NTA emphasized, “Admit cards from May 3 will not be valid, as many students have been assigned new centers in their preferred cities. Downloading and printing the June 21 admit card once is sufficient.”
The NEET UG 2026 will take place on June 21. Prior to this, the government has made comprehensive security arrangements. On Thursday, the Delhi High Court heard a case regarding the temporary ban imposed by the central government on Telegram. The petition challenges the government’s decision. The court is expected to deliver its ruling on the Telegram petition on Friday.
Judge Tejas Karia’s single-judge bench reserved the decision after hearing arguments from both Telegram and the central government. According to the Delhi High Court’s website, the verdict will be announced at 10:30 AM on Friday.
This writ petition questions the restrictions imposed under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000, based on recommendations from the National Testing Agency (NTA) and directives issued by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
