Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, June 28: In the midst of ongoing political discussions surrounding Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, MP Omraje Nimbalkar emphasized that his priority is not to secure a ministerial position, but to serve the public. Meanwhile, Maharashtra government ministers Sanjay Shirsat and MP Shrikant Shinde criticized Uddhav Thackeray, asserting that under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Shiv Sena is becoming increasingly robust.
During a press interaction in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, MP Omraje Nimbalkar stated that he has never sought to become a central minister. His focus has always been on raising public issues and accelerating development projects. He noted that with the support of the government, development initiatives in the region can be advanced more effectively.
When asked about Uddhav Thackeray’s visit to Marathwada, Nimbalkar refrained from making any political comments. He stressed that addressing public issues is more important than engaging in political blame games. He asserted that representatives must work for the people to maintain their trust.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra minister Sanjay Shirsat questioned the purpose of Uddhav Thackeray’s Marathwada visit, claiming it was not aimed at understanding public issues but rather assessing the political climate. He accused Thackeray of breaking away from the alliance after contesting the 2019 elections with the Mahayuti. Shirsat suggested that before labeling others as ‘traitors,’ Thackeray should reflect on his own decisions.
Shirsat also alleged that long-serving Shiv Sena workers have not been honored, leading many leaders and activists to distance themselves from the party. He urged Thackeray to review his leadership instead of blaming others for the current political situation.
Additionally, MP Shrikant Shinde claimed that six MPs from the Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray (UBT) faction have joined Shiv Sena, expressing confidence in Eknath Shinde’s leadership. He mentioned that the party is continuously expanding and is conducting extensive outreach campaigns across the state to strengthen its organization.
Addressing speculation about his inclusion in the central cabinet, Shrikant Shinde dismissed it as mere media chatter. Responding to Uddhav Thackeray’s recent statements, he suggested that Thackeray should first introspect on why leaders and workers are distancing themselves from him. He asserted that mere accusations will not strengthen the political situation, and the public will make decisions based on development.
