The Chief Minister engaged with the Odia community in Dubai, where over 800 Odia expatriates attended the event. Odisha’s rich cultural heritage was showcased through Odissi dance and traditional folk performances. Majhi emphasized the vital role of the Odia expatriate community in enhancing the state’s global identity and preserving its cultural heritage.

Throughout the three-day visit, the Odisha delegation participated in high-level meetings with government, institutional, and business representatives in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. These discussions focused on critical minerals, rare earths, metals and metallurgy, chemicals and petrochemicals, renewable energy, healthcare services, industrial infrastructure, tourism, IT, agriculture and food processing, logistics, skill development, and circular economy.

The Odisha government also showcased local products and entrepreneurship opportunities from various districts under the “One District One Product” initiative during the expatriate community event.

Highlighting Odisha’s investment appeal, Chief Minister Majhi pointed to the state’s natural resources, ample energy availability, strategic ports, robust industrial base, skilled workforce, and developed industrial ecosystem. He stated, “The partnership with the UAE extends beyond individual investments; it aims to establish long-term collaboration in manufacturing, trade, technology, export, innovation, skill development, and entrepreneurship.”

Majhi invited UAE companies to consider Odisha as a preferred investment destination for their next phase of growth in India.
