
Noida, June 23: In preparation for the upcoming Muharram festival, the Gautam Buddh Nagar police are taking extensive measures to ensure a peaceful and secure environment. Under the guidance of Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh, senior officials conducted security assessments across various police precincts, engaging in foot patrols and issuing necessary directives to relevant personnel.
Supervised by DCP Noida Saad Mia Khan, ADCP Noida Manisha Singh, along with ACP-3 Noida Rakesh Pratap Singh and police forces, carried out foot patrols in the Sector 49 area. During this time, officials physically verified the proposed procession routes and reviewed security arrangements. They inspected the facilities along the procession routes and instructed staff to remain vigilant. The patrols also included thorough checks of suspicious individuals and vehicles.
Officials emphasized the importance of maintaining security and smooth traffic operations, ensuring strict action against those violating traffic regulations. Additionally, PCR and PRV vehicles have been directed to continuously patrol the area to uphold law and order.
In line with these efforts, a special campaign against public drinking in public spaces has been initiated under the direction of Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh. On Monday, DCP Noida Saad Mia Khan and ADCP Noida Manisha Singh supervised joint actions by the Phase-1 and Sector-58 police, resulting in actions against a total of 102 individuals under Section 292 BNS.
The police have stated that the campaign against individuals affecting law and order by consuming alcohol in public will continue. Special vigilance is also being maintained in the Central Noida area. Under the supervision of DCP and ADCP Central Noida, ACP-1 Diksha Singh conducted foot patrols in the Phase-2 area to assess security arrangements.
She instructed police personnel to set up barricades for checking suspicious vehicles, maintain traffic order, and take strict action against rule-breaking drivers. Police officials reiterated that maintaining peace and harmony during festivals is a priority. Continuous patrols, checking campaigns, and monitoring are being intensified across all precincts. The police have appealed to the public for cooperation, urging them to report any suspicious activities immediately.
