Mumbai, June 7: Actress Niyati Fatnani has revealed that during the era of reality shows, celebrities’ statements are often taken out of context.
In a special interview, Fatnani shared her experience during ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi,’ mentioning that she faced significant trolling after a promo was released. However, once the entire episode aired, viewers understood the true situation and rallied behind her.
When asked about the viral edited clips that often spark controversy after reality shows, she responded with her own experience. “When a promo for ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ was released, I faced a lot of criticism from fans. However, those who know me were confident that I would never do anything wrong. After the episode aired, everyone learned the truth and supported me. In fact, that individual was eliminated from the show.”
The actress noted, “Fans are extremely passionate about their favorite artists, and this is a natural part of being a celebrity.”
Addressing the question of whether talent or visibility is more important in the age of social media, Fatnani stated that they are entirely different aspects.
“If an artist is talented and can perform well, directors and producers will choose them for roles. On the other hand, if a project can benefit from visibility, social media influencers may also be cast. Social media has become a crucial part of the entertainment industry today.”
When asked if she has ever felt pressured to hide her relationship on social media, she denied it.
“I believe it depends on the individuals involved in the relationship. If both partners are comfortable, then other concerns become less significant.”
