Mumbai, September 1: South Indian film actor Karthi is gearing up for the release of his upcoming spy film, ‘Sardar 2.’ He emphasized that viewers will not be able to ignore the film’s important message after watching it.
During the trailer launch event, Karthi praised the film, stating, “You might drink water from a plastic bottle, but after watching this film, you will not be able to overlook its message. It has been crafted with health in mind and reveals truths about health that will resonate with everyone.”
Directed by P.S. Mithran, ‘Sardar 2’ is a sequel to the hit film ‘Sardar’ from 2022. It also serves as a prequel, showcasing the backstory of agent Sardar (Chandrabose) and his son, Inspector Vijay Prakash.
In the first film, Mithran addressed the issue of water commercialization, which contributed to its blockbuster success. In this sequel, he aims to highlight health and hygiene-related issues.
Karthi reprises his dual role as father (Chandrabose, aka Sardar) and son (Inspector Vijay Prakash). The storyline revolves around an unfinished mission from Chandrabose’s past, which resurfaces as a new and dangerous international threat.
In this sequel, S.J. Suryah plays the role of a formidable antagonist known as ‘Black Dagger,’ posing a significant challenge to Karthi’s character. The film also features Malavika Mohanan, Ashika Ranganath, and Rajisha Vijayan in key roles, along with Yogi Babu and other notable actors. ‘Sardar 2’ is set to hit theaters in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada on September 10.
