Kolkata, September 28 (Daily Kiran) : BJP National President Nitin Naveen addressed a youth dialogue conference in Kolkata on September 28, emphasizing the unique blend of sports, art, literature, and culture present in West Bengal. He stated that the state’s identity is deeply rooted in these elements, making it distinct across the country.
During his speech, Naveen highlighted the importance of authenticity in today’s social media landscape. He noted that while fabricated content may gain temporary popularity, the current generation values genuine experiences. “Today’s youth is closer to originality,” he remarked.
Naveen also discussed the rapid fluctuations in youth emotions, expressing concern over their quick shifts from happiness to disappointment. He referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative “Pariksha Pe Charcha,” designed to help young people overcome feelings of despair. He encouraged them to view failures as stepping stones to future success, asserting that life is too precious to be defined by a single setback.
He advised the youth to steer clear of shortcuts in life. Naveen expressed confidence that with the right environment, West Bengal could reclaim its illustrious sports legacy. He urged the Chief Minister to focus on a youth policy alongside sports development, noting that today’s young people are not just job seekers but also job creators. He pointed out that under Modi’s leadership, over 250,000 startups have emerged in the country.
Addressing the decline of sports and cultural engagement, Naveen lamented that children now spend more time on mobile devices than playing outdoors, a shift that has weakened the community’s inherent strengths. He called for renewed attention to this issue and reiterated the need for a robust youth policy.
