Panihati, September 28 (Daily Kiran) : BJP National President Nitin Naveen has strongly responded to remarks made by Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, regarding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. During a media interaction in Panihati on September 28, Naveen asserted that Gandhi appears disheartened by his repeated electoral defeats. He advised Gandhi to learn from these losses, warning that if he fails to do so, voters will continue to express their discontent through their ballots.
Naveen, who is currently on a two-day visit to West Bengal, noted that the opposition is visibly rattled by its failures. He pointed out that both the Congress and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) are struggling to accept their defeats. He contrasted their reactions, stating that they do not question the Election Commission when they win in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, but readily blame it and the Electronic Voting Machines when the BJP secures victories in West Bengal, Assam, and Uttar Pradesh.
The BJP leader emphasized the need for Gandhi to reflect on his losses rather than casting doubts on constitutional bodies. He stated, “The pain of the votes that the public has given you must be felt. Learn something new from this experience. If you don’t, the public will continue to deliver such blows in the future.”
Additionally, Naveen praised West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari for his efforts in fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s promises, highlighting the achievements made in just five months. He commended the Chief Minister and his team for their dedication to progress in the state.
