Patna, March 3: Discussions are intensifying in Bihar regarding Nishant Kumar, the son of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Speculations suggest that after the Holi festival, he may be given significant responsibilities within the party and could enter active politics. JD(U) leader Neeraj Kumar stated that Nishant is capable and should indeed step into active politics.
In an interview in Patna, Neeraj Kumar emphasized that both JD(U) members and the general public in Bihar believe Nishant should take this step. While some may feel uncomfortable with this idea, he firmly believes it is the right move. Statements from both past and present party leaders support this notion. The party leadership will ultimately decide Nishant Kumar’s future.
Regarding the AI Summit incident, Neeraj Kumar criticized the behavior of Congress party workers, stating that such conduct is unacceptable, especially during a major event. He acknowledged that the matter is currently in court but reiterated that such actions are inappropriate.
On the issue of Mamata Banerjee’s protest concerning the SIR, Neeraj Kumar urged her to focus on actions that benefit the public. He questioned whether any objections were raised by the appointed BLO regarding the changes being made. If no objections were made, he argued that her claims are merely falsehoods.
Responding to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s comments about West Bengal, Neeraj Kumar remarked that Mamata Banerjee’s government has prioritized issues unrelated to public welfare. He emphasized that implementing the Seventh Pay Commission is not a charitable act but a necessity for government employees. Shah’s statements reflect a hostile attitude towards these employees, rather than a supportive one.
In light of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi’s criticism of the central government’s stance on the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei, Neeraj Kumar expressed that her questioning of India’s foreign policy is unwarranted. He assured that debates and sessions will be held when necessary.
He concluded by stating that Indians around the world work according to their capabilities and that the government is committed to assisting those in need.
