New Initiatives for Farmers Announced by Minister Nitin Agarwal

Hardoi, June 18: Uttar Pradesh’s Excise Minister Nitin Agarwal shared details about a farmer conference held in the district. During a press interaction on Thursday, he noted that the event marked the 12th anniversary of the Modi government’s tenure. Several distinguished farmers attended the gathering.

Agarwal highlighted various initiatives launched by the central government aimed at benefiting farmers, emphasizing how these programs are positively impacting their livelihoods.

Additionally, he responded to U.S. President Donald Trump’s praise for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Agarwal remarked that such recognition from the leader of one of the world’s most powerful nations underscores Modi’s global popularity. He asserted that Modi is leading India with strength, which is accelerating the pace of development.

He also discussed a recent meeting with the Chief Minister, mentioning a PWD meeting held on Wednesday that included officials from the Lucknow zone. They deliberated on action plans related to the PWD, aiming to secure approvals for these initiatives.

In a separate context, the Samajwadi Party held a meeting with its Brahmin MPs and legislators. Agarwal commented that figures like Janeshwar Mishra and Lohia, who have strayed from the party’s ideology, render celebrations of their anniversaries meaningless. He criticized the party for becoming aligned with capitalists, suggesting that their attempts to convey messages through such celebrations will not yield benefits.

On the topic of the Women’s Reservation Bill, the minister stated that the timeline for its presentation remains uncertain. He reiterated Prime Minister Modi‘s commitment to introduce and implement the bill before the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. Although the bill was presented in April, it faced opposition hurdles that prevented its passage. However, Modi has vowed to ensure its implementation at all costs.
