Neeti Mohan Describes Mahiya as a Song of Love and Affection

Mumbai, September 4 (Daily Kiran) : Playback singer Neeti Mohan is set to captivate audiences once again with her melodious voice in the upcoming song “Mahiya.” This track will feature in the new web series “The Revolutionaries,” beautifully portraying the blossoming love and warmth between the main characters.

The song showcases the romance between Sachindra Nath Sanyal, played by Rohit Saraf, and Pratibha Lahiri, portrayed by Pratibha Ranta. “Mahiya” captures their growing relationship and the special feelings that develop between them.

Described as a love song, “Mahiya” expresses the joy that comes when someone special enters your life. The lyrics emphasize that for those in love, their partner is everything.

The music for the song is composed by Akashdeep Sengupta, with vocals by Neeti Mohan and Tushar Joshi. The lyrics are penned by Tolia Lavaraj Singh and Gaurav Chakraborty.

Sharing her experience, Neeti Mohan said, “Mahiya is a beautiful and soothing song. I love the emotions hidden in its melody and lyrics. I especially liked how the song reflects a man’s longing for the woman he loves, as she is present in every feeling he experiences. Through this song, he tries to convey that she means everything to him.”

She added, “There’s a sense of truth and simplicity in this feeling. The essence of love comes across in a very natural way without any pretense. Singing this song with Tushar Joshi was a great experience for me. I hope listeners enjoy the romantic tune and recall their own beautiful moments of love while listening.”

“The Revolutionaries” is inspired by true events, aiming to highlight lesser-known stories from India’s struggle for independence. The series is based on Sanjeev Sanyal’s acclaimed book “Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom.” The narrative was crafted by Sanjukta Chawla Sheikh, Akshita Vadhwana, Shobhit Narang, and Rutvi Mehta.

In addition to Rohit Saraf and Pratibha Ranta, the series features Bhuvan Bam and Gurfateh Pirzada in significant roles, while Jason Shah, Paoli Dam, and Tota Roy Chowdhury also play important characters.

Directed and produced by Nikhil Advani, “The Revolutionaries” is brought to life by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani under the banner of Emmay Entertainment. The series is set to premiere on Prime Video on September 11.
