NEET UG 2026 Re-examination Under Strict Security Measures, Students Hope for Success

New Delhi, June 21: The NEET UG 2026 examination is being conducted again across the country today. Strict security measures have been implemented for the exam. Reactions to the re-examination have emerged from various quarters.

A student from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, named Apeksha Thakur expressed her concerns, stating that the atmosphere has been tense following the paper leak. “We have prepared well. I hope today’s exam goes smoothly,” she said. Another student, Niharika Tiwari, shared her anxiety, noting that the previous leak has created a fearful environment. “The leak has shaken my confidence,” she admitted.

Dilip Ahirwar, a minister in the Madhya Pradesh government, extended his best wishes to the students taking the exam. “I pray that all candidates achieve success,” he said. Similarly, Haryana minister Aarti Rao conveyed her good wishes, expressing hope that students perform well.

JD(U) leader Rajiv Ranjan emphasized that comprehensive arrangements have been made, urging students to give their best. BJP MLA CP Singh remarked on the efforts to ensure a smooth examination process, pointing out that such issues have occurred before. “Those making accusations should reflect on whether similar incidents happened during their tenure,” he stated, emphasizing that laws are in place to prevent such disruptions.

In Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, stringent security measures have been put in place for the re-examination, with over 50,000 candidates participating across 127 centers. In Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, security has been heightened, with nine centers under close surveillance and question papers being transported under police and ITBP protection.
