Mustafa Kamals Passing Mourned by Peoples Conference President

Srinagar, July 15: Mustafa Kamal, brother of Farooq Abdullah, passed away on Tuesday due to illness. Sajjad Lone, President of the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference, expressed his condolences.

In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Sajjad Lone wrote, “My heartfelt condolences to the Abdullah family on the passing of Dr. Mustafa Kamal. May God grant his soul peace. Allah bless him with paradise.”

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also shared his grief on social media, stating, “My uncle Dr. Mustafa Kamal has passed away at Paras Hospital in Srinagar. He had been ill for several months, but his condition worsened four days ago. Despite the difficult circumstances, he fought bravely. The doctors and staff who treated him were excellent, but Allah called him for his final journey. May Allah grant Uncle Mustafa the highest place in paradise.”

The National Conference expressed its sorrow in a post on ‘X’, saying, “The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference deeply mourns the passing of Dr. Mustafa Kamal, a senior party leader, former minister, and beloved son of ‘Sher-e-Kashmir’ Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah. Dr. Kamal dedicated his life to public service and strengthening the ideals and legacy of the National Conference. His unwavering commitment to the people of Jammu and Kashmir earned him great respect in political and social spheres.”

The National Conference further stated, “His passing is an irreplaceable loss not only for the National Conference family but also for the people of Jammu and Kashmir; they will always remember his contributions with gratitude and respect. In this time of profound sorrow, the entire National Conference stands in solidarity with Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Honorable Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the grieving family, and all those mourning this great loss.”

The National Conference concluded its post with, “May God grant Dr. Mustafa Kamal the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and give his family the strength, patience, and courage to bear this irreparable loss.”
