Mumbai Crime Branch Summons Whistleblower in MPSC Drug Inspector Exam Leak Case

Mumbai, July 28: The investigation into the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) Drug Inspector recruitment exam leak has intensified. Rishikesh Gangarde, who claimed the exam paper was leaked, has been summoned by the Mumbai Crime Branch for questioning. On Tuesday, Rishikesh arrived at the Crime Branch office with his lawyer, where the interrogation is ongoing.

According to Mumbai police, the Crime Branch has requested Rishikesh to present all evidence supporting his claims. Officials are trying to ascertain the basis of his allegations regarding the paper leak and what evidence he possesses.

Rishikesh had previously claimed that the question paper for the MPSC Drug Inspector recruitment exam was compromised. He even lodged a complaint via email to the Maharashtra Public Service Commission regarding this issue.

However, the MPSC has categorically denied these allegations. The commission asserts that no exam paper was leaked and that such reports are merely rumors.

Reports indicate that two days before the exam, on March 20, questions related to the exam were circulated in WhatsApp groups among some candidates. It was alleged that a gang responsible for the leak had shared 90 out of 100 questions in these groups prior to the exam. This claim sparked significant unrest among students.

This controversy is linked to allegations of paper leakage and malpractice in the MPSC Drug Inspector recruitment exam held on March 22. The issue has ignited a major debate among political and student organizations in Maharashtra.

Currently, questioning of Rishikesh Gangarde continues, and police will take further action based on the investigation’s findings.
