Mumbai, September 8 (Daily Kiran) : A Mumbai court has made a significant ruling regarding the intrusion at Jio World Plaza in BKC. The Crime Branch requested a four-day custody of the suspects, which the court granted, sending both individuals into custody until September 11.
The primary suspect has been identified as Rohan Parekh, a resident of the Khar area of Mumbai. His father, Premal Parikh, is known to run a substantial business. During the court proceedings, Parekh’s entire family was present to support him.
The second suspect is Dilip Kunde, a 45-year-old bodyguard. Initial investigations revealed that he had entered the venue on Monday night, posing as an official from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and was found with a fake ID card.
The Crime Branch’s CIU unit is currently investigating the reasons behind the creation of the counterfeit PMO card and the suspects’ intentions for entering the high-security Jio World Plaza.
In an official statement, the Mumbai police reported that three individuals allegedly used a suspicious government ID and entered the mall while armed, bypassing security measures. An FIR has been lodged at the BKC police station under several sections, including impersonating a government employee and illegal entry with a weapon.
Authorities confirmed that the weapon found with the suspects was licensed, and two individuals have been arrested. They emphasized that this incident occurred the day before and is unrelated to the Prime Minister’s visit to Mumbai.
