New Delhi, March 27: The Modi Cabinet has applauded the Indian government’s decision to reduce excise duty on petrol and diesel amidst ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, along with Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Amit Shah, expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for this decision.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh took to social media platform X, stating that in light of rising international crude oil prices due to the crisis in West Asia, the government’s reduction of excise duty on petrol and diesel is a timely and decisive step that provides essential relief to citizens.

At a time when many countries are forced to increase fuel prices, this action reflects the government’s proactive approach and unwavering commitment to public welfare. Singh emphasized that Modi’s leadership is characterized by a citizen-centric approach and dedication to the well-being of the people.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also commented on X, noting that amid the ongoing fuel crisis in West Asia, which has driven global energy prices up, the Indian government has taken a timely and citizen-focused step by reducing excise duty on petrol and diesel.
