Rajasthans New Academic Year Kicks Off with Enthusiasm in Government Schools

Jaipur, April 1: The academic year 2026-27 for government schools in Rajasthan begins today, filled with enthusiasm and widespread community participation.

Officials have announced that to mark this occasion, a major campaign named ‘Praveshotsav 2026’ is being launched across the state. The campaign aims to increase enrollment, reduce dropout rates, and ensure that every child is connected to education.

The education department has completed all necessary preparations and has issued guidelines from the state level down to individual schools to ensure smooth implementation.

This year, the Praveshotsav is not just a formal event; it is a focused mission to bring every child into the mainstream of education. A key aspect of this year’s initiative is an intensive door-to-door outreach campaign.

Officials reported that on March 27, April 6, April 10, and April 15, teams of Anganwadi workers, teachers, school staff, and local representatives will visit homes to identify children aged 3 to 18 and ensure their enrollment.

They further stated, “The goal of this extensive effort is to ensure that no child is left out of the education system and that awareness about schooling reaches every family.”

To promote the holistic development of children, a digital health check campaign will commence on April 16. Regular health check-ups will be conducted for students, and necessary medical assistance will be provided. Additionally, special educational activities will be organized in May to strengthen basic education and improve overall educational outcomes.

It is noteworthy that the recently held ‘Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting’ (PTM) has laid a strong foundation for this campaign. Education Minister Madan Dilawar, ACS (Education) Rajesh Yadav, and Director Sitaram Jat personally visited schools to review preparations and enhance communication between parents and teachers. This initiative has increased transparency and strengthened parental trust in government schools.
