Mayawati Pays Tribute to Kanshiram on His Mahaparinirvan Day

Lucknow, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : On October 9, Mayawati, the national president of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), paid tribute to the party’s founder, Kanshiram, on his Mahaparinirvan Day. In a heartfelt message shared on the social media platform X, she emphasized the importance of Kanshiram’s work in empowering marginalized communities in India.

Mayawati wrote, “Kanshiram, a beacon for the Bahujan society, played a crucial role in transforming millions of Dalits, tribals, backward classes, and other weaker sections from being oppressed to becoming part of the ruling class through their voting power.” She highlighted his commitment to carrying forward the legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, which aimed to restore the dignity and self-respect of these communities.

She noted that under Kanshiram’s leadership, the BSP formed the government in Uttar Pradesh four times, leading to significant social change and economic liberation. These administrations, she claimed, initiated historic reforms that benefitted the marginalized.

Mayawati also acknowledged the contributions of great saints and leaders, including Jyotirao Phule, Narayan Guru, Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, and Dr. Ambedkar. Their struggles for equality and justice, she stated, have been instrumental in realizing the sacred intentions of the Indian Constitution.

She concluded by asserting that the inspiration drawn from these leaders has helped establish the rule of law in Uttar Pradesh, particularly in crime control and governance, thereby delivering a government focused on public welfare and development. This, she affirmed, is the true tribute to the vision of Kanshiram.
