CJP Calls for Unity Amidst Protests, Criticizes Governments Fear of Solidarity

New Delhi, October 10 (Daily Kiran) : The Cockroach People’s Party (CJP) has urged citizens to gather at Jantar Mantar during ongoing protests in New Delhi. In a video message, CJP leader Ajinkya Shinde targeted the Modi government, accusing it of fearing the unity of the people.

Shinde stated that three CJP leaders—Abhijit Dipke, Saurabh Das, and Ashutosh Ranka—were detained by Delhi police at the airport. He expressed that this authoritarian government is once again afraid of the nation’s solidarity. He recalled how the last time citizens united at Jantar Mantar, they shattered the government’s arrogance.

To prevent people from reaching the protest site this time, Shinde claimed the government had shut down trains, metros, and buses, effectively blocking all routes to Jantar Mantar. He argued that the government’s fear indicates that they have already lost half the battle, signaling the start of a new struggle.

Shinde emphasized the demands of the people, stating that those whose voting rights have been stolen must have them restored. He called for the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner, who he accused of facilitating vote theft. In response to the protests, he noted that the government had imposed an emergency across Delhi.

He urged all citizens to march towards Jantar Mantar, declaring that any place where police attempt to stop them should become their own Jantar Mantar. The struggle will continue until CEC Gyanesh Kumar resigns, he asserted.

Earlier, Delhi police took significant action by detaining CJP founder Abhijit Dipke, co-convener Saurav Das, and spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka directly from their flight upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport. During the detention, Dipke boldly told the police, “I came here to be arrested. Arrest me.” The CJP also reported that their head of legal affairs, Ratna Singh, was also taken into custody.

In a related incident, Tushar Gandhi, the great-grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, was detained by Mumbai police while heading to August Kranti Maidan.
