Lucknow, August 8: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) National President Mayawati has launched a sharp attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP). She accused the SP of frequently changing its political stance due to narrow caste-based politics and electoral interests. Mayawati stated that the SP initially attempted to connect with backward, Dalit, and minority communities through the ‘PDA’ (Pichhda, Dalit, Akliyat) and is now using the term ‘Pandit’ to appeal to the Brahmin community.
In a statement released on the social media platform ‘X’, Mayawati targeted the SP, asserting, “It is well-known that the BSP operates on the principle of ‘Sarvajan Hitay, Sarvajan Sukha’ and has governed Uttar Pradesh four times based on this ideology. In contrast, the Samajwadi Party continuously changes its colors like a chameleon for its narrow casteist politics and electoral gains.”
Mayawati further explained, “The SP’s so-called ‘PDA,’ which initially promoted ‘Pichhda’ for backward communities, has now shifted to ‘Pandit’ as they see the Brahmin community rapidly aligning with the BSP. This is yet another proof of their political deception.”
She concluded by warning, “Such political deceit may temporarily benefit certain individuals, but it will never serve the entire community. Therefore, people from all sections of society must remain cautious of the deceptive practices of the Samajwadi Party and its narrow casteist politics. This is essential for the welfare of all.”
