
Mumbai, June 13: In a significant administrative overhaul aimed at enhancing policing efficiency and community focus, the Vasai-Virar Police Commissionerate has announced the transfer of 38 Assistant Police Inspectors (APIs). Following the approval from the Police Establishment Board, Deputy Commissioner Sanjaykumar Patil issued the transfer orders on Saturday.
According to the order issued under Section 22(N) of the Maharashtra Police Act of 1951, these changes primarily involve the transfer of officers who have completed a two-year tenure, with the goal of improving operational efficiency and addressing administrative needs.
As part of this major reshuffle, new postings have been assigned to several key units, including Virar, Virar Road, Naigaon, Navghar, Bhayander, Uttan, Tulinj, Valiv, Kashigaon, Kashimira, Achole, Nalasopara, Bolinj, Mandavi, Arnala, Pelhar, Crime Branch, Economic Crime Branch, Special Branch, Cyber Police Station, and Traffic Branch.
Notable appointments include Sudhir Narayan Thorat at Virar Police Station, Mangesh Dinkar Kadam at Tulinj, Ram Venkatarao Surwase at Pelhar, Vishal Kashinath Dhaygude at the Municipal Encroachment Cell, Anil Anand Talwekar at the Crime Branch, and Sagar Shantaram Vahan at the Economic Crime Branch.
Female officers Manisha Balakrishna Patil and Rupali Arjun Wahul have been assigned to Virar Police Station. Additionally, Mahendra Appaji Bhamre has been posted to Valiv, and Sunil Ganpat Pawar has been transferred to the Crime Branch.
Rajendra Nagnath Chandanakar will head the Special Branch, Suhas Bhimrao Kamble will take charge in Kashigaon, Nitin Gokul Chaudhary will oversee Mandavi, Nitin Jagatap will manage the Traffic Branch in Kashimira, Sachin Kamble will be stationed at Virar Road Police Station, and Kishore Bapurav Dhaygude will serve as an officer at the Additional Police Commissioner’s office.
In another directive, changes were made at the request of officers. Sopan Tukaram Patil has been moved from Crime Branch Room-2 to Valiv Police Station, Ramkrishna Madhukar Bodke has been transferred from Virar Police Station to the Wrestling Control Team (RCP), and Rameshwar Ashok Padwal has been appointed at Virar Police Station from the Security Branch.
The police department has implemented these orders with immediate effect. Officials believe that this extensive reshuffle will streamline the functioning of the commissionerate and strengthen law enforcement and crime control in the area.
