Telangana Scholars Demand Legal Action Against BJP Leader Nazia Ilahi Khan

Hyderabad, June 22: A group of prominent scholars from various Islamic organizations met with Deputy Commissioner of Police Kiran Khare Prabhakar on Monday to file a formal complaint against BJP leader Nazia Ilahi Khan.

The complaint raised objections to Khan’s recent public statements, in which she allegedly urged Hindus to boycott Muslims in government and private sector jobs. The delegation labeled these remarks as inflammatory, stating they pose a direct threat to communal harmony.

Given the seriousness of these comments, the scholars demanded immediate legal action. They argued that such statements not only promote economic discrimination but also use highly offensive language against religious figures.

Maulana Syed Qadri, president of the Qadariya International Organization, stated, “We have come to the DCP to demand action against this individual. She has made derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad.”

He further added, “We submitted a memorandum requesting the filing of a case against her, her arrest, and legal action in Hyderabad. We trust that the police administration will take appropriate legal steps.”

Hyderabad police confirmed receipt of the complaint and stated that they would investigate the available evidence before determining further action.

Addressing the delegation, DCP Kiran Khare Prabhakar remarked, “We have received the memorandum. The complaint expresses concern over certain statements made against the Muslim community, which seem contrary to public sentiment. I have not yet viewed the relevant video, but I will examine the evidence provided and ensure appropriate legal action is taken.”
