Faridabad, May 22: The Faridabad police have achieved a significant success in their ongoing crackdown on criminals. The crime branch team from Uncha Gaon arrested the wanted criminal Sandeep, also known as Chenta, following an encounter on the night of May 21-22. Sandeep is a resident of Machhgar village.
According to police reports, Sandeep was allegedly planning to execute a major crime. When the police team surrounded him, he fired three shots at them. In return, police shot him in the leg, allowing them to apprehend him. This incident took place near Fazupur village on the Chandpur-Atali road, under the jurisdiction of the Chhainsa police station.
Sandeep had previously attempted to murder a staff member at Chandila Food Hotel, located at Sector 12 Court Chowk, on the morning of May 20. He was wanted in connection with this case, and police had been actively searching for him.
During the encounter, police recovered a motorcycle and a pistol from the scene. Additional materials were also found in Sandeep’s possession, which are currently under investigation.
Sandeep has a history of serious offenses, including robbery, dacoity, and attempted murder. The police have been on the lookout for him for an extended period. His arrest has caused panic among other criminals.
The operation was executed based on precise intelligence information during the night. It was conducted under a special campaign directed by senior officials.
After his arrest, Sandeep was sent to the hospital for treatment. Following his recovery, he will be presented in court. New charges, including attempted murder, illegal possession of firearms, and firing at police, are also being filed against him at the Chhainsa police station. The police are interrogating him to gather information about his accomplices and potential future crimes.
