Sangam Vihar, September 21 (Daily Kiran) : A significant burglary occurred late Sunday night in the Sangam Vihar area of South Delhi. Upon returning from a birthday celebration, a family found their home ransacked and valuables missing. Cash and gold jewelry were taken in the incident, which left the house in disarray.
The theft took place in the vicinity of the Shani Market. Delhi police, along with a forensic science laboratory team, arrived at the scene to gather evidence and initiate an investigation. Neighbors reported that no one was home during the burglary.
One neighbor recounted, “I returned from the hospital around midnight and saw a large crowd gathered outside. Police officers were inside, investigating how and when the incident occurred.” The neighbor estimated that the break-in happened between 8:00 and 8:30 PM, but it remains unclear whether the burglars entered from above, below, or from the side.
Another neighbor noted, “No one was at home at the time. The family had gone to a relative’s house. The thieves struck while they were away, breaking in through doors and windows.”
They added that the burglars managed to escape without being seen. When the family returned and discovered the situation, they raised an alarm, prompting nearby residents to gather.
The police were notified of the burglary, and a team arrived later that night to conduct further investigations.
